Engineering

An electricity production installation usually represents a substantial investment. It is therefore important that the installation is engineered and designed properly so that costly mistakes are avoided. 

GETEK has long experience in designing and engineering alternative electricity supply systems and we are using substantial funds each year on research and development. 

ASSESSMENT
The first step in engineering an electricity production unit is to assess the size of the unit. Energy consumption has to be assessed and the meteorological conditions at the site have to be analyzed in order to assess the potential energy production from wind and sunshine.

In hybrid units where generators are used we also assess the diesel consumption and the service cycles.

ENGINEERING
After the assessment has been done the engineering can start. In this process we design the system and establish which components that shall be used. Drawings, flowcharts and component lists are set up in order to provide proper documentation for the customer.
